Installation

Gimp is include and installed by default on Mint.

More brushes and patterns

sudo apt install -y gimp-data-extras

More plug-ins

  • Huge collection of plug-ins gimp-gmic
sudo apt install -y gimp-gmic

sudo apt install -y gimp-plugin-registry
  • Pandora is a GIMP script which helps in stitching together multiple images to make a panorama. (Version in ubuntu repo DO NOT WORK ANY MORE)
sudo apt install -y pandora

System integration

WARNING:

Package gnome-xcf-thumbnailer is no more available

sudo apt install -y gnome-xcf-thumbnailer #

Then complete XCF thumbnailer configuration using:
